A clear overview of the professional expectations, responsibilities, and boundaries of a coaching engagement.

Last updated: June 23, 2026

Purpose of the coaching relationship

Coaching is a collaborative developmental relationship designed to support reflection, clarity, self-awareness, aligned action, and personal or professional growth. The client and coach work together to clarify goals, explore patterns, and identify practical next steps.

The coaching relationship is based on mutual respect, confidentiality, active participation, and honest communication.

Scope and boundaries

Mind Growth Companion services, including coaching, Human Energy Development, Reiki, NLP, Clinical Hypnotherapy techniques, CBT-informed approaches, and Feng Shui Energy Consultation, are educational and developmental services. They are not substitutes for medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial, or crisis support.

Coaching is not therapy, medical care, psychiatric care, legal advice, financial advice, or crisis intervention. If issues arise that require another professional scope of care, the client may be encouraged to seek appropriate support.

Client responsibilities

The client is responsible for setting intentions, participating actively, completing agreed reflections or exercises where relevant, communicating honestly, and making their own decisions.

The client agrees to inform Mind Growth Companion of any circumstances that may affect suitability for coaching, including acute distress, medical concerns, or professional restrictions that require specialized care.

Confidentiality

Information shared in coaching is treated with discretion. Confidentiality may be limited where disclosure is required by law, safety concerns, safeguarding obligations, payment administration, or agreed organizational reporting.

Where services are arranged through an organization, the confidentiality boundaries and any reporting expectations should be clarified before the engagement begins.

Scheduling, fees, and cancellations

Session length, frequency, fees, payment timing, and cancellation terms are confirmed before the engagement begins. Late cancellations, missed sessions, or repeated rescheduling may be subject to the terms outlined in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Either party may request a review of the coaching engagement if the scope, fit, or expectations need to be clarified.
